Volunteering with 22nd Hampstead Sea Scouts

Adult volunteers

We are looking for adult helpers.  Scouts is run by volunteers.  It is fun and rewarding.

You don’t need to be Bear Grylls to help run a meeting or organise a day out or a camp.  Training is provided and you will be working alongside more experienced leaders.

We are looking for volunteers to join our team working with young people directly, including

  • A Group Leader to plan the overall programme of activities and manage 22nd Hampstead Sea Scouts
  • Section Leaders to manage our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts sections and deliver a programme of activities and weekly meetings
  • Assistant Leaders and Assistants to help with organising activities and running weekly meetings.

We also have opportunities for volunteers to help behind the scenes, as trustees or a group administrator.

Information about the different roles in local Scout Groups is available on the Scouts website.

To find out more, please contact us and arrange to discuss roles, or come and see for yourself.

Young volunteers

We also welcome young people volunteering as Young Leaders at Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, including those who are volunteering as part of a Duke of Edinburgh award.

22nd Hampstead are experienced at working with Young Leaders (aged 14-17 inclusive) to deliver the programme of weekly meetings.  The Young Leaders are given a role, with support, in planning and running meetings, and are likely to find the role rewarding.
